Pictures don't always come out exactly the way we want them to. Fortunately, there's Adobe Photoshop to help make adjustments. One of the things Photoshop can do is to help make the skin look whiter if desired.
1
Lighten the entire photograph. This can be done using the "Shadows" menu through "Enhance" on the toolbar, then "Adjust Lighting" and finally choosing "Shadows/Highlights." The other option is the "Brightness" menu, which can also be accessed through "Enhance," then "Adjust Lighting" and finally by choosing "Brightness/Contrast."
2
Adjust the color in the photograph. Adding more blue to a photo will make it appear whiter. Go to the Enhance menu and choose "Adjust Color" and then "Color Variations." Inside the Color Variations, click on "Increase Blue" until the desired effect is achieved.
3
Balance the color by using the Adjust Levels command. Go to the Enhance menu and pick "Adjust Lighting," followed by "Levels." Choose "Blue" and adjust the numbers within the levels until the right amount of whitening is reached.
4
Whiten just one subject in the photo by using the Magnetic Lasso tool to select the area that whitening is desired in. Then follow one or both of the above methods to lighten or adjust the color in the selected area until it is whitened as needed.
