The stylize filters are a set of commands in Adobe Photoshop that produce various visual or painted effects by displacing image pixels. The wind effect is a part of the stylize filters. It creates a series of small horizontal lines on an image in order to simulate the wind and can be applied either left to right or right to left. For example, the wind effect is used to make the realistic flame on an image or create original logo texts.

Instructions

1
Launch Adobe Photoshop.

2
Click "File" and select "Open." Browse your computer, and double-click on an image file to open it.

3
Click the "Filter" and choose "Stylize. Next, select "Wind."

4
Select the radio button "From the Right" or "From the Left" to choose the effect direction. Click "OK."

5
Press the key combination "Ctrl" + "F" one or several times to progressively enhance the wind effect.
