Photoshop enables photographers and creative users to add captions and descriptions to photographs and images. Users can resize, enhance and add special effects to digital photos and add their name to the artwork. Photoshop includes a text tool to add a byline or copyright statement directly on the image.

Launch Photoshop CS2 and open the desired document.

Click the "Text Tool" button in the toolbar and place the cursor in the desired location to begin the text box.

Press and hold the "Alt" key and then type "0169" using the number pad on the keyboard to insert a copyright symbol in Windows. Alternatively, select "Options" to choose the copyright symbol from the directory.

Press and hold the "Option" key and then press the "G" key to insert a copyright symbol (for Mac users).
